Well, I wish we could say we were just casually "not preventing" and then poof! It was a little more calculated than those stories. We were "tracking" which means to know how many days your woman's cycle is and now a days you can do a "ovulation kit" that can sometimes for some women calculate your ovulation window. So that is what we did... and the ovulation kit worked!
I made a plan to test 3 days before my expected period... I literally couldn't sleep the night before when I was planning on doing the pregnancy test, so I woke up at 4am and did the test!
And...
IT WAS POSITIVE!!!! AHHHHH!!!!
How did I tell Jameson?
Jameson and I had talked about how he wanted to find out and he wanted it to be creative... So while i was awake and freaking out with EXCITEMENT I ordered a one-day prime delivery for a book called "The Expectant Father". So that meant that I had to wait the whole 10+ hours to tell him!!! It was a really long day! But so exciting when the book arrived. When he opened the amazon package with his name on it, he pulled out the book and looked at me, then the book and said, "did you order this? Are you pregnant?" And of course we both were beyond ecstatic!
Even though I did not get my period 3 days later, I was still nervous and couldn't believe it. As we were headed to Vegas the next week, I did another pregnancy test just to be sure:
And it was still positive! Happily I had to endure a SOBER trip to Vegas for the first time ever... It was fun but a much different perspective! Thankfully I really had no symptoms of pregnancy because it was so early that I found out.
